At the time, things looked good from the outside. But inside? I was exhausted. Overwhelmed. Always running late. Pouring a glass of wine every night just to take the edge off.

I was trying to prove my worth. I wouldn’t ask for help. I was saying yes when I wanted to say no. And I was quietly resentful and totally burned out.

Once I started working on what was really going on beneath the overwhelm, everything changed.

Until that moment, I had no idea I had any say in my thoughts. I assumed they were just happening to me—and with them came overwhelm, stress, and a feeling that everything was out of my control.

That yoga teacher was also a life coach. And her simple invitation to “notice my thoughts” sent me down an entirely new path.

I started devouring everything I could—podcasts, books, coaching tools. I became obsessed with understanding how our thoughts shape our experience, and more importantly, how we can change them.


My story started over a decade ago in a yoga teacher training when the instructor said, “Notice your thoughts.”

I was trying to prove my worth by doing more.
I was refusing help because I thought I should be able to handle it all.
I was hiding the truth about how I felt—even from the people closest to me.

I let go of guilt. I started being honest—with myself and others. I learned how to rest and take action from a grounded place. I felt better on the inside, and my outside life followed.

You can feel calm, clear, confident, and in control, too.

Not someday—now.

nomadic adventure memories

In 2023, I sold nearly all of my things and took off on a nomadic adventure across the United States for 3.5 months, visiting many National Parks along the way. 

After a few months of travel, I wanted to settle for a bit. I chose Montana to see if I could handle a northern winter – southern girl here – and a year and a half later, I'm still here... for now.

  • 1 massage therapy training—understanding stress in the body, too
  • 1 yoga teacher training—mind, body, breath, and beyond
